Trains.com is reporting that during voting that concluded on Monday (2-28-22), members of the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC) union, which represents approximately 3,000 engineers, conductors, crew members and rail yard workers, have approved a possible strike against the Canadian Pacific Railway. Among ballots returned, 96.7% approved the strike.

For the first time in 18 years, roundwood timbers have been successfully transported and delivered by rail to Pontrilas Sawmills in Herefordshire, England. Euroforest Ltd., an independent timber harvesting company, and Colas Rail delivered 400 tons of roundwood timbers from Newton Abbot in Devon to the sawmill site.

Mayorkas, said, “Starting on January 22, 2022, the Department of Homeland Security will require that non-US individuals entering the United States via land ports of entry or ferry terminals along our Northern and Southern borders be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and be prepared to show related proof of vaccination.”
