Uniboard Canada Inc., a leading North American manufacturer of engineered wood products, announced on Tuesday that it was investing $250 million (CAD) in a new state-of-the-art particleboard press line at its Val-d’Or, Quebec, plant. The new continuous press will feature the latest in particleboard production technology.

Tolko Company Releases Update on Fire Damage Repair Process for High Prairie, Alberta, OSB Facility

Investigations continue into the fire that damaged the Tolko OSB facility in High Prairie, Alberta, on Friday, May 20. Currently, there is no production taking place at the site. The facility is still shipping out existing finished product as trucks and empty railcars become available. On May 30, operations teams started clean-up in restricted areas.

Mercer Mass Timber Announces Investment in its Spokane Valley Manufacturing Facility

Mercer Mass Timber LLC., a subsidiary of the Vancouver, British Columbia-based Mercer International Inc., a global producer of market pulp and solid wood products with mills in Canada, Germany, and Australia, announced on Wednesday that it plans to invest $50 million (USD) over the next two years in capital projects at its Spokane Valley mass timber manufacturing facility.
