PotlatchDeltic Corporation announced today that is investing $131 million to expand and modernize its Waldo, Columbia County, Arkansas sawmill. With the updates scheduled to be completed in Q4 of 2024, the mills annual capacity will increase from 190 million board feet of dimensional lumber to approximately 275 million board feet.
Tolko Company Releases Update on Fire Damage Repair Process for High Prairie, Alberta, OSB Facility
Investigations continue into the fire that damaged the Tolko OSB facility in High Prairie, Alberta, on Friday, May 20. Currently, there is no production taking place at the site. The facility is still shipping out existing finished product as trucks and empty railcars become available. On May 30, operations teams started clean-up in restricted areas.

Astara Capital Partners Announces Second Sawmill Acquisition
Astara Capital Partners has formed Camden Timbers to acquire and restart the assets of Victory Lumber, a southern yellow pine sawmill located in Camden, Arkansas. The Camden Timber investment is Astara’s second sawmill investment. Previously, Astara’s ACP Lumber Holdings acquired Cross City Lumber in April of 2021.
Canfor Pulp Products Further Extends Production Curtailment at Taylor Pulp Mill in B.C.
Canfor Pulp Products Inc. announced on Tuesday that it was further extending the production curtailment at their Taylor Pulp Mill in Vancouver. The Taylor mill produces bleached chemi-thermo mechanical pulp, with an annual production capacity of 230,000 tons. The curtailment will “continue for an extended period of time.”
