Egger Wood Products moves ahead with $19.5 million expansion plans
According to a June 14th report in the Triad Business Journals, Egger Wood Products—the Austria-based maker of wood-based materials, which opened its first US-based laminated plant in Lexington, NC, in 2020 producing particle board and thermally fused laminates (TFL)—is looking to expand at its facility. According to the Journal, Eggers has filed for a building permit valued at $19.5 million for its new lamination line.
When complete, this be the third lamination lane at Lexington for TFL and represents a 50% increase in TFL production capacity, according to the report. The third line is expected to be operational sometime in the autumn of 2022.
