Entekra to Be Closed and Dissolved by End of June

Entekra LLC, an offsite construction company that manufacturers wood-framing for residential and commercial building projects from its facilities in Modesto and Patterson, California, announced on April 17th that it is being dissolved, according to a report by The Modesto Bee (4-24-23). Consequently, 138 workers will be losing their jobs.

According to The Modesto Bee, Louisiana Pacific, the majority owner of Entekra, released a statement on Monday saying in part:

“After careful consideration of various strategic alternatives that concluded without external investment interest, Entekra’s Board of Directors has come to the difficult decision to cease operations and dissolve the company. An orderly (wind down) of Entekra’s operations is expected to be completed by the end of June 2023 as the company fulfills its final obligations.”

Louisiana Pacific stressed that it and Entekra are separate entities. Louisiana Pacific made an investment in Entekra in 2018 and became the majority owner in 2021.
