Arbor Forest Products U.K. Expanding its North Lincolnshire Premises with Advanced Planning Line

Arbor Forest Products, a leading timber importer and timber products manufacturer has announced that it is investing £6 million in expanding its North Lincolnshire premises to incorporate what is set be one of the most advanced sawmill planning lines in the UK. The new facility, which is an expansion of the company’s New Holland HQ, is currently undergoing internal fit-out, with a view to production beginning in January 2021. Described by Arbor Forest as a ‘UK first’, the new facility will feature scanning technology that is unique within the UK market, and which will allow Arbor Forest Products to identify and eliminate defects in lengths of timber before they reach customers – significantly reducing waste, and – crucially – saving building manufacturers valuable time. The company has also indicated that it plans on investing another £6 million for additional storage at the site.
