U.S. Export of Wood Pellets Tops 6.03 Metric Tons\$820.05 Million in First Ten Months of 2020

According to data released by United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Foreign Agricultural Service, on December 4th, the U.S. exported 624,202.9 metric tons of wood pellets in October, up from both 608,046.6 metric tons in September and 550,094.5 metric tons in October of 2019. Top importers of U.S. pellets are the U.K., followed by the Netherlands and Denmark. In the first 10 months of 2020, the U.S. has exported 6.03 million metric tons of wood pellets at a value of $820.05 million. This compared to 2019 when the U.S. exported 5.6 million metric tons at a value of $ 762.56 million.
