SA town wins race for $59 million laminated timber plant
Timberlink, the Australian timber products manufacturing business, owned by investment funds managed by New Forests, has announced that they will begin construction in 2021, on a $ 59 million state-of-the-art softwood cross laminated timber (CLT) plant to be located alongside its recently upgraded softwood sawmill at Tarpeena. The new facility is scheduled to be completed in 2023 and will be Australia’s second major softwood CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) plant and the first combined CLT & GLT (Glue Laminated Timber) manufacturing facility.
