Enviva, the World’s Largest Industrial Pellet Manufacturer Ramps Up Production in the Southeast
The world’s largest producer of industrial pellets, Enviva, is reporting that their plant in Hamlet N.C. is continuing to ramp up production and when at full capacity, which is scheduled for the end of 2020, the facility will be producing 600,000 metric tons per year (MPTY). Enviva is also working on improvement projects that will increase production capacity at their facilities in Northampton N.C. and Southampton V.A. When complete both facilities will have the ability to produce 400,000 MPTY. Finally, Enviva is also reporting that expansion efforts are under way at their Greenwood S.C. plant, with permits having been applied for and which are expected to be approved shortly. When completed the Greenwood plant will be producing 600,000 MPTY. When all facilities are up and running the company will be producing 2,000,000 metric tons per year.
