Plywood Imports into Japan Drop in December

According to an International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO) report, the volume of plywood being imported into Japan, year-over-year was unchanged. However, when compared month-to month, November to December, there was an 8% decline. The ITTO breakdown indicates that plywood imports into Japan in 2019 from Malaysia dropped 18% when compared to 2018. There was a 13% decline on imports from Indonesia and China over the same time period.
