LP Building Solutions Converting Sagola Michigan OSB Facility to LP SmartSide Production

LP Building Solutions, based in Nashville Tennessee, has announced that it is converting its Sagola, Michigan, facility from producing oriented strandboard (OSB) to the production of its flagship product LP SmartSide, an engineered wood trim and siding product. The Sagola project will be the second phase of LP’s plans to expand siding production to meet growing product demand. Previously, LP converted its New Limerick Maine, facility, commonly known as the LP Houlton from the manufacturing of OSB and laminated strand lumber to SmartSide.

As announced in May, LP expects to begin the production of siding in Q1 of 2023.
