Ledinek to Provide New CLT Production Line for Facility in Crescent Mills, CA
Ledinek Expands also to California
Ledinek announced that it will supply a CLT production line for a facility in Crescent Mills, California.
The project is part of Sierra Institute’s initiative to revitalize areas impacted by the decline of industries such as mining and ironworks. By strengthening the wood processing sector, Sierra Institute aims to support economic renewal.
According to Ledinek, the design of this CLT line is relatively straightforward but optimized for high machine utilization and production capacity. It combines elements from Ledinek’s previous projects, including the CLT production lines for Stilles in Slovenia and Holzbau Driendl in Germany.
The capacity of the line is 60 m3/shift and consists of the following machines: X-Cut 200, the new Kontizink H 1700 finger jointing machine developed specially for the US market, the Europlan 4V-S120 planer, a XE-Press (45 feet), and the Ledinek glue application system.
Ledinek says that it looks forward to the first shipments at the end of the summer and the start of the installation process, beginning with the XE-Press and the Kontizink finger jointing machine.
