Blueprint Robotics Opens New European Office in Herefordshire, UK

Blueprint Robotics, an American company that specializes in the offsite manufacturing and site assembly of timber-framed buildings, is opening a new office for its new European team of four design engineers in Herefordshire, UK, according to Your Herefordshire (12-29-23).

Working in conjunction with Blueprint’s Baltimore factory, the satellite team will bring extensive experience working with Europe’s leading timber-framing 3D design software, Dietrich’s. Blueprint hopes to create four additional design engineer positions over the next two years. However, Blueprint, will not be building in the UK.

Another reason Blueprint selected the location is to be close to Hereford’s new university campus building from the New Model Institute for Technology and Engineering (NMITE), which opened at Skylon Park in the summer of 2023. The new Center for Advanced Timber Technology (CATT) delivers courses in advanced and sustainable design and construction methods, building on Hereford’s existing reputation as a hub for timber-framed engineering and offsite manufacturing.

According to Your Herefordshire, Blueprint Robotics looks forward to working closely with NMITE, contributing to the curriculum, and bringing new talent into the industry.
