Martco Plant in Corrigan, TX, Produces First Board on Its New Multi-Opening OSB Line

Martco LLC has produced the first board on its new multi-opening OSB line from DIEFFENBACHER in Corrigan, Texas. It is the third plant of its kind that Martco has commissioned from DIEFFENBACHER.

Martco ordered a 4-head forming station, a CombiLine—which transforms continuous forming into discontinuous mat preparation without raw material loss—and an 8×24 feet, 16-opening press. Additionally, DIEFFENBACHER provided the line’s electrics and automation and an Intelligent Air Management System. That system improves the production hall’s climate by capturing concentrated and diffuse emission sources and controls the infeed and outfeed air streams.

Commenting on the announcement, Martco CEO Roy O. Martin III said:

“We’re well aware of our great responsibility for the health of our employees. The Intelligent Air Management System ensures excellent air quality in our production hall, creating a good and healthy working environment for our staff. We’re very happy to reconfirm our partnership with DIEFFENBACHER for the third time and to benefit from their innovative ideas.

In view of the obstacles we’ve overcome together, I want to thank the joint DIEFFENBACHER and Martco team for their tireless efforts and perseverance. It was only thanks to their high degree of flexibility and commitment that the project could be completed successfully. I’m also proud it was a safe installation with no recordable injuries. This project is a great achievement that marks another fantastic milestone in our partnership with DIEFFENBACHER, which goes back more than 40 years.”

DIEFFENBACHER CEO Christian Dieffenbacher added:

“Last year, we—Martco and DIEFFENBACHER—had the honor of celebrating major company anniversaries. One hundred years of Martco and 150 years of DIEFFENBACHER—two traditional family companies that have grown together as partners. The first board on the new plant in Corrigan is a wonderful conclusion to our anniversary celebrations and simultaneously the starting point for many more years that we will walk side by side.”
