Russia Replaces Canada as 2019 Softwood Lumber Export Leader
According to Wood Resources International, in its Wood Resource Quarterly, Russia has surpassed Canada to become the world’s largest exporter of softwood lumber in 2019. Russia is on track to ship ~32 million m3 of lumber this year, which represents 23% of globally traded lumber.
