Interfor Completes Sale of Its Philomath, OR, Sawmill to Timberlab

On June 27th, Timberlab completed the purchase from Interfor Corporation of its sawmill and 80-acre property in Philomath, Oregon, The Philomath News reported (8-19-24).

The sale follows Interfor’s announcement of the mill’s closure in February and the completion of all operations in March. Rick Pozzebon, Interfor’s executive vice president and chief financial officer, mentioned the sale during the company’s earnings call this month. The earnings report indicated that Interfor took a $4.3 million write down on the property.

“An undisclosed buyer acquired Philomath sawmill from Interfor Corporation for $15 million,” Market Screener reported.

“On June 27, 2024, the company sold property and assets of the former Philomath, Oregon, sawmill for cash consideration of $15 million,” Lumber Blue Book wrote.

However, according to The Philomath News, Benton County property tax records show Timberlab Property LLC as the owner of Interfor’s former properties.
