Finnish Forest Industries Federation (FFIF) has announced that it will hold a 6-day lock-out starting on Thursday 12thDecember. The lock-out will close approximately half of the Nordic country’s sawmills and plywood factories. According to FFIF the lock-out is aiming to put pressure on unions in halted pay negotiations. Earlier the unions announced a three-day strike scheduled to start on Monday, December 9th and running through Wednesday December 11th.
