Roseburg’s New East Coast Sawmill in Roanoke Rapids, NC, Donates First Truckload to Local 4-H

Roseburg’s new east coast sawmill facility, Roanoke Valley Lumber in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, has produced it first full truckload of market-ready southern pine lumber. The new facility has brought more than 130 jobs to the local economy.

Roseburg donated the truckload to the Halifax County 4-H Rural Life Center’s multi-purpose building. This center serves as the base for 4-H’s low-cost Summer Day Camp program that serves more than 350 youth each summer, as well as a center for recreation and educational opportunities for citizens.
