New Brunswick Sawmill Closing

J.D. Irving has announced that their Baker Brock sawmill located in northwestern New Brunswick will close permanently on 1st November. The mill which produced mostly fencing products has depleted all ‘reasonable distance’ raw materials. Irving also cited the weak market for the mills byproducts, sawdust, shavings and chips as another factor in the closure decision.
