Maine’s Robbins Lumber Co. Announces Purchase of Two Pleasant River Lumber Co. Sawmills

Bangor, Maine’s WABI News is reporting (5-25-23) that Robbins Lumber Company, a fifth generation, 140-year-old, family-owned lumber sawmill company with sawmill facilities located in Searsmont and East Baldwin, is expanding.

According to the report, Robbins Lumber has acquired two sawmills previously owned by Pleasant River Lumber Company, with one mill located in Hancock and the other in Sanford.

Robbins says it intends to retain all 74 employees at newly acquired sites. With the addition of these two mills, Robbins will now employ 250 people at all four locations.
