Fire Destroys Sawmill Manufacturing Building at Glidden Lumber Co. in Parkman, Maine

A fire last Tuesday (7-20-21) morning destroyed the main sawmill manufacturing building at Glidden Lumber Company in Parkman, Maine. The fire was reported around 1:00 AM and crews from multiple fire departments responded to the blaze and were on the scene for over five hours. The fire is still under investigation by the Fire Marshall’s Office. However, local officials believe that a faulty piece of machinery was the cause of the blaze. Thankfully no one was injured as the result of the fire.
