On Thursday, Statistics Canada (StatCan) reported that Canadian lumber production increased 4.7% to 3,951.2 thousand cubic meters in September. Year-over-year, lumber production was down 5.9%.
Sawmills shipped 3,929.2 thousand cubic meters of lumber in September—up 2.5% from August but down 1.2% from September 2023.
