Binderholz Group Purchases Klausner Lumber Two LLC in Enfield North Carolina Adding to its US Holdings

All assets of Klausner Lumber Two LLC., located in Enfield, Halifax County, North Carolina were sold in a virtual auction which was held on Thursday, December 10th, 2020. The winning bid of $ 83.4 million was from the Austrian Binderholz Group, who outbid Mayr Melnhof Holz. The transaction is expected to close in January 2021. In August 2020, Binderholz expanded for the first time outside of Europe with the purchase of Klausner Lumber One in Live Oak, Florida. Now the second American sawmill follows in Enfield, North Carolina. The technical systems and services of the two sawmills are similar. Reinhard Binder, CEO of Binderholz, explains the strategic motivation as follows: “The acquisition of Klausner Lumber Two in Enfield, North Carolina, is the logical addition to the Klausner Lumber One plant in Live Oak, Florida, which was acquired in August. This step significantly improves availability for our customers. The successful acquisition has laid the foundation for further investments in the depth of added value. “
