Brazilian Exports of Wood-Based Products Increase Year-Over-Year in March

According to the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO), Brazilian exports of wood-based products (excluding pulp and paper) rose 18.0% in value year-over-year in March, from US$286.7 million in March 2024 to $339.4 million in March 2025.

Pine sawnwood exports increased 45.0% in value, from $43.7 million in March 2024 to $63.4 million in March 2025. Export volume rose 40% over the same period, from 188,400 m3 to 263,100 m3.

Tropical sawnwood exports rose 44% in volume, from 16,500 m3 in March 2024 to 23,700 m3 in March 2025. Export value increased 25%, from $7.6 million to $9.5 million.

Pine plywood exports grew 35% in value, from $68.9 million in March 2024 to $93.0 million in March 2025. Volumes rose 43%, from 208,800 m3 to 298,700 m3.

Tropical plywood exports increased 42% in volume and 25% in value, from 1,900 m3 and $1.2 million in March 2024 to 2,700 m3 and $1.5 million in March 2025, respectively.

The value of wooden furniture exports rose 20%, from $45.5 million in March 2024 to $54.4 million in March 2025.
