Brazilian Exports of Wood-Based Products Fall in April

According to the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO), Brazilian exports of wood-based products (excluding pulp and paper) totaled US$312.3 million in April, a 1.8% decrease from US$318.0 million in April 2025.

Pine sawnwood exports rose 27.6% in value, from US$58.0 million in April 2025 to US$74.0 million. Export volume increased 29.5% over the same period, from 247,600 m3 to 320,600 m3.

Tropical sawnwood exports fell 12.2% in volume, from 33,700 m3 to 29,600 m3. In value, exports rose 10.8%, from US$12.0 million to US$13.3 million.

Pine plywood exports fell 16.6% in value, from US$83.0 million in April 2025 to US$69.2 million. Export volume declined 10.8%, from 259,600 m3 to 231,600 m3.

Tropical plywood exports increased 59.4% in volume, from 3,200 m3 to 5,100 m3. In value, exports rose 70.6%, from US$1.7 million to US$2.9 million.

Wooden furniture exports increased 1.8% year-over-year, from US$48.7 million in April 2025 to US$49.6 million in April 2026.
