Wingspan Event and Conference Center in Hillsboro Oregon has been Completed Using Glulam and CLT Construction Design

The 89,000-square-foot Wingspan Event and Conference Center in Hillsboro Oregon has been completed, consistent with national and local safety precautions during the pandemic. The project features a glulam and CLT “butterfly roof” structure over steel-framed galleries and circulation areas, designed by LRS Architects and structural engineer IMEG. Swinerton Mass Timber partnered with LRS and IMEG to help with material selection, design coordination, and incorporation of best practices early in design. The new Wingspan Event and Conference Center complex includes an exposition hall and a state-of-the-art conference center, complete with a commercial kitchen, concessions, offices, an advanced audio and visual system, and an outdoor exhibit area.
