U.S. Housing Prices Have Risen 33 Consecutive Quarters

U.S. house prices rose in the third quarter of 2019, up 1.1% according to the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) House Price Index (HPI).  House prices rose 4.9% from the third quarter of 2018 to the third quarter of 2019.  FHFA’s seasonally adjusted monthly index for September was up 0.6% from August. House prices rose in all 50 states and the District of Columbia between the third quarters of 2018 and 2019.
