Brazilian Exports of Wood-Based Products Fall in November

According to the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO), Brazilian exports of wood-based products (excluding pulp and paper) totaled $226.0 million in November 2025, down 37.0% from $360.4 million in November 2024.

Pine sawnwood exports fell 26.0% in value year-over-year, declining from $63.5 million to $47.1 million. Export volume dropped 18.0% over the same period, from 262,300 m3 to 216,500 m3.

Tropical sawnwood exports edged down 0.3% in volume, slipping from 31,100 m3 in November 2024 to 31,000 m3. In value terms, exports increased 5.0%, rising from $13.1 million to $13.8 million.

Pine plywood exports declined sharply, with value down 48.0% year-over-year from $72.3 million to $37.3 million. Export volume fell 43.0% over the same period, from 223,300 m3 to 128,000 m3.

Tropical plywood exports decreased 19.0% in volume, falling from 2,700 m3 in November 2024 to 2,200 m3 in November. In value, exports declined 7.0% from $1.5 million to $1.4 million.

Wooden furniture exports fell 24.0% year-over-year in November, declining from $58.9 million to $44.5 million.
