Lincoln Lumber adding $11M sawmill, 20 new jobs in Crockett
According to sources at KTRE – Channel 9 News – in Pollock Texas – an ABC affiliate – Conroe Texas based Lincoln Lumber LLC., is planning on building a new sawmill on property they own in Crockett Texas. The new mill will cost over $ 11 million to construct and when completed employ 20 area people. The project centers around the City of Crockett providing Lincoln with a tax abatement. The city council is set to meet and discuss the project and abatement on Monday November 2nd. If the city grants the abatement Lincoln says they intend to hire a subcontractor and construction will begin at the end of December.
