Brazilian Exports of Wood-Based Products Decline in December

According to the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO), Brazilian exports of wood-based products (excluding pulp and paper) totaled US$263.2 million in December 2025, down 17.0% from $315.2 million in December 2024.

Pine sawnwood exports fell 7.0% in value, from $59.9 million in December 2024 to $55.7 million. Export volume rose nearly 7.0% over the same period, increasing from 245,100 m3 to 253,700 m3.

Tropical sawnwood exports rose 31.0% in volume, from 24,000 m3 to 31,500 m3. In value terms, exports increased 33.0%, climbing from $9.4 million to $12.5 million.

Pine plywood exports declined 15.0% in value, falling from $69.2 million in December 2024 to $58.6 million. Export volume decreased 8.0%, from 214,800 m3 to 198,500 m3.

Tropical plywood exports slipped 3.0% in volume, from 3,300 m3 to 3,200 m3. In value, exports declined 5.0%, from $1.9 million to $1.8 million.

Wooden furniture exports fell 12.0% year-over-year, declining from $54.1 million in December 2024 to $47.1 million.
