Structurlam Mass Timber Corp., and Walmart Have Big Plans in Arkansas
Structurlam Mass Timber Corporation, the Penticton, British Columbia, Canada-based company, is expanding its operations into the United States, with a new plant in Conway, Ark. The facility is set to open in mid-2021 and create 130 jobs. Structurlam plans to equip the plant with state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment from Europe. Additionally, the plant will source most of their softwood lumber needs from Arkansas-grown Southern Pine trees. Structurlam has also reported that they have been award a contract to supply mass timber for Walmart’s new Home Office campus for 15,000 staff in Bentonville, Ark.
