August Marks Two Milestone Anniversaries in US Mass Timber History

Mass Timber Strategy, whose services include working with state and cities as they plan to move forward with mass timber construction and individual companies working on large-scale timber development, highlighted (8-20-23) two milestone anniversaries in the month of August for mass timber usage in the US.

First is the 100th anniversary of the US Patent Office issuing a patent for cross laminated timber (CLT).

Second is the 10th anniversary of the USDA and US Forest Service kicking off a national focus on CLT and other forms of mass timber. The initiative later included a White House summit in March 2014.
