S&P Cotality Case-Shiller Index Records Annual Gain in July 2025
On Tuesday, S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI) released the S&P Cotality Case-Shiller US National Home Price NSA Index, formerly known as the S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller Indices. Year-over-year, the Index posted a 1.7% gain in July, down from a 1.9% rise in June.
The 10-City Composite rose 2.3% annually, compared with a 2.7% increase in June. The 20-City Composite advanced 1.8% year-over-year, easing from a 2.2% rise the prior month.
Among the 20 cities, New York recorded the largest annual increase at 6.4%, followed by Chicago (6.2%) and Cleveland (4.5%). Tampa registered the weakest return with a 2.8% decline.
Before seasonal adjustment, the US National Index fell 0.2% month-over-month. The 10-City Composite declined 0.3%, and the 20-City Composite also fell 0.3%.
After seasonal adjustment, the National Index decreased 0.1% month-over-month, while both the 10-City Composite and 20-City Composite declined 0.1%.
