Roseburg Forest Products Exploring Second MDF or Bioenergy Product Facility on West Coast

Roseburg Forest Products, a privately-owned company and a leading manufacturer of particleboard, medium density fiberboard (MDF), and thermally fused laminates, announced today (6-14-22) that it is in the process of exploring the feasibility of locating a second MDF plant or bioenergy product facility within its current western operations footprint.

The feasibility study is scheduled to take place over the next several months, with a decision anticipated by the end of this year.

According to the company’s news release, the proposed facility would use up to 300,000 bone-dry tons of wood residuals on an annual basis. The fiber would be sourced from current company operations and from important existing long-term suppliers.
