Western Canadian Wildfires Disrupt CN Railway Movement
Wildfires in British Columbia have disrupted CN Railway train movement in the Vancouver corridor, according to an August 18th CN Network Update sent to customers and seen by FEA.
All trains have been cancelled at Vancouver and Kamloops, BC. Train operations were also suspended west of Ashcroft and Kamloops, until further notice, according to the update.
Operations were also suspended on CN’s Meander subdivision near Hay River, NWT, due to wildfires in the far Canadian north.
Service will resume gradually as conditions stabilize.
