Weyerhaeuser Announces Sell of Montana Timberlands

Weyerhaeuser has announced that they intend to sell 630,000 acres of timberland in Montana to a private timberland investment company for $ 145 million in cash. Weyerhaeuser says it is part of their strategy to optimize their timberland portfolio. Weyerhaeuser manufacturing facilities in Montana will not be affected by the pending sale of timberland.
