Peab and Södra Announce Cooperation Agreement for Sustainable Framing Solutions

Södra and Peab AB, a Nordic community builder with 13,000 employees and sales of SEK 59 billion, announced an exclusive cooperation agreement that will jointly drive climate transition in the construction industry.

The collaboration is exclusive and focuses on developing a standardized ECO hybrid frame solution suitable for industrial residential production. In the spring of 2025, the parties will jointly investigate the conditions for moving forward with the development work.

Last year, Peab and Södra had an in-depth dialogue about how the industry can accelerate its sustainability work. Now the parties are taking the next step with a common ambition to develop the hybrid solution of the future for frames, where concrete precast and CLT work together to meet the toughest climate requirements.
