BC Commits CA$2 Million to Ron Anderson & Sons Expansion

British Columbia has committed as much as CA$2 million through the BC Manufacturing Jobs Fund to support an expansion and equipment upgrades at Chemainus-based construction and wood-product manufacturer Ron Anderson & Sons.

The project will expand the company’s product line beyond its existing prefabricated wall systems to include prefabricated floors, roof panels, and stairs. The province said the investment will increase manufacturing capacity, advance off-site wood-frame construction, improve efficiency and product quality, and reduce on-site construction time.

The expansion is expected to create 35 new jobs and help increase the company’s output and sales. The expanded facility is expected to be completed in February 2027.
