Sweden’s Mellanskog said it has lowered timber prices across several product categories, citing a weakened market environment. The reductions apply to new contracts beginning November 19 and affect pulpwood, timber, and fuelwood.

Mellanskog said the price reductions are as follows:

  • Pulpwood: -40 SEK/m3fub
  • Spruce timber and small timber: -50 SEK/m3fub
  • Pine timber: -80 SEK/m3fub
  • Firewood: -40 SEK/m3fub
