Metsä Fiber Concludes Change Negotiations in Joutseno and Rauma, Finland

On Wednesday, Metsä Fiber announced the conclusion of change negotiations at its Joutseno and Rauma pulp mills and the Rauma sawmill in Finland concerning potential temporary layoffs of up to 90 days.

According to the company’s press release, following the negotiations, Metsä Fiber has decided that temporary layoffs of all personnel at the affected sites may be implemented between July and the end of December, if necessary.

The maximum duration of the layoffs is 90 days. The timing and length of the layoffs will be determined separately for each facility.
