Brazilian Exports of Wood-Based Products Fall in October
According to the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO), Brazilian exports of wood-based products (excluding pulp and paper) totaled $257.3 million in October, a 2.0% decrease from $263.7 million in October 2024.
Pine sawnwood exports rose 13.0% in value, from $45.32 million in October 2024 to $56.8 million. Export volume rose 9.0%, from 191,000 m3 to 207,700 m3.
Tropical sawnwood exports rose 32.0% in volume, from 21,700 m3 to 28,700 m3. In value, exports rose 21.0%, from $10.0 million to $12.1 million.
Pine plywood exports fell 25.0% in value, from $57.2 million to $42.9 million. Export volume fell 16.0%, from 169,100 m3 to 142,600 m3.
Tropical plywood exports rose 14.0% in volume, from 2,100 m3 to 2,400 m3, and held steady in value at $1.2 million.
Wooden furniture exports held steady year-over-year, from $48.2 million in October 2024 to $48.2 million in October 2025.
