Brazilian Exports of Wood-Based Products Fall in February
According to the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO), Brazilian exports of wood-based products (excluding pulp and paper) totaled $216.8 million in February, a 22.0% decrease from $278.5 million in February 2025.
Pine sawnwood exports fell 30.0% in value, from $67.0 million in February 2025 to $47.2 million. Export volume declined 28.0% over the same period, from 282,700 m3 to 204,800 m3.
Tropical sawnwood exports rose 27.0% in volume, from 20,900 m3 to 26,500 m3. In value, exports increased 28.0%, from $8.5 million to $10.9 million.
Pine plywood exports fell 20.0% in value, from $58.2 million in February 2025 to $46.4 million. Export volume declined 14.0%, from 186,400 m3 to 160,300 m3.
Tropical plywood exports held steady in volume at 2,300 m3 but fell 15.0% in value, from $1.3 million to $1.1 million.
Wooden furniture exports fell 22.0% year-over-year, from $46.3 million in February 2025 to $36.3 million in February.
