The advance number for seasonally adjusted insured unemployment during the week ending September 6 was 1,920,000, a decrease of 7,000 from the previous week’s revised level of 1,927,000 (originally 1,939,000). The four-week moving average was 1,932,500—a decrease of 10,250 from the prior week’s revised average of 1,942,750 (originally 1,945,750).
The advance seasonally adjusted insured unemployment rate was 1.3% for the week ending September 6, unchanged from the previous week’s unrevised rate.
