New US Residential Single-Family Home Sales Decline in June

On Wednesday, the US Census Bureau and Department of Housing and Urban Development jointly announced that new residential single-family home sales for June were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR) of 617,000, according to estimates. This is 0.6% below the revised May rate of 621,000 and 7.4% below the June 2023 rate of 666,000.

The median sales price of new houses sold in June was $417,300. The average sales price was $487,200.

The seasonally adjusted estimate of new houses for sale at the end of June was 476,000. This represents a supply of 9.3 months based on the current rate of sales.
