CPKC Reaches 13 New US Tentative Collective Bargaining Agreements
CPKC reaches tentative collective agreements in United States
On Wednesday, Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) railroad announced 13 new tentative collective bargaining agreements with unions representing carmen, hostlers, laborers, clerks, maintenance workers, and mechanical and engineering supervisor employees across the United States.
Six tentative five-year contracts were reached with the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen, covering 228 carmen on the Delaware & Hudson, Soo Line, Kansas City Southern, MidSouth, SouthRail, and TexMex properties.
Five additional five-year agreements were reached with the Transportation Communications Union (TCU/IAM) and the American Railway and Airway Supervisors Association (ARASA), representing clerks, maintenance workers, and mechanical and engineering supervisors on the Delaware & Hudson, Soo Line, and Kansas City Southern properties. These cover about 105 employees.
Two further five-year agreements were reached with the National Conference of Firemen and Oilers (NCF&O) for hostlers and laborers on the Soo Line and Kansas City Southern properties, covering 30 employees.
CPKC said employees represented under these tentative agreements are located in Illinois, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New York, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Texas, and Wisconsin.
