US Releases Final Countervailing Duty Determinations in Seventh Review of Canadian Softwood Lumber
On Wednesday, the US Department of Commerce released its final countervailing duty determinations for the seventh administrative review (AR7) of certain softwood lumber products from Canada.
The period of review (POR) covers January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024. The final rates—slightly lower than the revised preliminary rates published in June—are summarized in the table below:
These rates will take effect upon publication in the Federal Register, expected within approximately one week. FEA will publish the final notice when it becomes available. The unpublished notice is available here.
The final AR7 antidumping duty determinations are also expected this week; FEA will publish those rates once they are released.
