US Bureau of Land Management Timber Sales Generate $10.7 Million in Q2

On Wednesday, the US Bureau of Land Management (BLM) reported that its Q2 timber sales generated more than $10.7 million in revenue.

During the quarter, BLM sold about 41 million board feet of timber across 1,500 acres in Oregon and California. The agency said that volume is enough to build nearly 2,600 homes.

The results were released as recently confirmed BLM Director Steve Pearce visited western Oregon to meet with agency employees, industry partners, and local mills.

“This was such an important trip for me to take,” Pearce said. “It was great to see Americans doing real work on the ground. These folks are part of a crucial industry that is helping rebuild the economy from the ground up.”

BLM plans to hold six timber sales in July, offering 31 million board feet across nearly 835 acres.
