Tolko and Ntityix Resources Announce Forestry Partnership
Tolko and Ntityix Resources agree to a landmark partnership
Tolko Industries Ltd. and Ntityix Resources Limited Partnership, the forestry and natural resource enterprise owned by Westbank First Nation through Ntityix Development LP, recently announced the completion of agreements transferring Forest License A98912 to Ntityix and establishing a long-term fiber supply partnership.
Under the agreements, Ntityix will assume ownership and management of Forest License A98912, which has an allowable annual cut of 52,100 m3. Ntityix will be responsible for forest stewardship, operational planning, forest management, and license administration.
The transfer is accompanied by a long-term fiber supply agreement, automatically renewable under specified conditions. Ntityix will supply Tolko with timber from Forest License A98912 and additional volumes from other Westbank First Nation forestry tenures.
Commenting on the agreement, Tolko President and CEO Pino Pucci said:
“Building strong partnerships with Indigenous communities is fundamental to the future of British Columbia’s forest sector. This agreement creates long-term certainty for both organizations while supporting Indigenous forestry ownership, economic participation, and sustainable forest management.”
