Brendon Puffer is the Data Operations Manager at FEA, where he has overseen the firm’s IT infrastructure and data management systems since 2014.
With more than two decades of experience in data operations and business systems, his work ensures that FEA’s data environment is reliable, scalable, and able to support the firm’s expanding analytical and client-facing initiatives.
Since 2019, Brendon has managed the technical development of PricePulse, FEA’s transaction-based price report for North American wood products. His work has been central to building the data infrastructure behind the service, including the systems used to collect, map, structure, and process millions of transactions.

More broadly, Brendon leads the design and maintenance of the systems behind FEA’s research, reporting, and data-driven products. His work spans database architecture, data integration, and process optimization, helping turn complex datasets into structured, accessible information for FEA’s economists and clients alike.

Before joining FEA, Brendon held roles across data analysis, systems design, and project management, including positions at MIT, where he led efforts to improve reporting systems, streamline business processes, and develop data infrastructure to support institutional decision-making.

Brendon holds a Bachelor of Science from Virginia Tech and a Master of Arts in sociology from Northeastern University.
