Fast + Epp’s New 4-Story Mass Timber Hybrid Building Shell Completed in Just 4-weeks

The 4-story mass timber hybrid office building at 7^th Ave & Yukon Street, in Vancouver B.C., will be the home of Fast + Epp Engineering Company in late 2020. It was constructed in just four weeks’ time using cross-laminated timber (CLT) floor and wall panels, glulam beams and steel posts. The exterior wall panels including firewall at the property line were pre-clad with membrane and insulation.  In a statement Paul Fast, the founder of Fast + Epp said about the new building, “As a living laboratory, it is exciting to be able to test new ideas and technologies beyond the construction phase, but also throughout the life of the building, and create a safe and healthy work environment.”
