Paper Excellence Extends Crofton Paper Curtailment Through November
On Friday (10-20-23), Paper Excellence Canada announced that the curtailment at its Crofton paper operation will be extended to the end of November.
In a press release, the company said market conditions continue to support the restart of its pulp operations, which employs more than 300 workers. However, the continued curtailment means that approximately 70 employees will not return to work in November. Paper Excellence Canada said it is continuing to work with its employees to mitigate the impact of the ongoing paper production curtailment.
The company also said it is continuing to work with customers to provide alternative products from its Catalyst Alberni mill or other mills within the Paper Excellence Group family of companies where possible.
